What’s Happening Around The County.
We experience so many incredible neighborhoods and fun new things to do around San Diego County each and every day. It’s time to share our findings with friends!
125 Steps To One-of-a-Kind Views
Head over to Balboa Park and the Museum of Man to climb-to-the-top of San Diego’s iconic California Tower. Closed to public tours since 1935, the Tower is back-open again after 80 years. A guided tour takes Visitors to the public viewing deck where sweeping panoramic views await. It’s said that on a clear day views span 23 miles to the horizon. Just don’t forget comfy shoes as the climb is 125-steps…or 7-stories! Get tickets.
San Diego Botanic Gardens
Be emerged in 37 acres of both California native plants and plants from all over the world at the San Diego Botanic Garden. In Encinitas just off the I-5 and Encinitas Blvd, the Garden is perfect for a weekend visit with kids. It offers two interactive Children’s gardens, a 2-story treehouse and special events like Ladybug Day and the summertime Insect Festival. A couple of pointers: free admission and $2 parking is offered every first Tuesday of the month. Electric cars park free and if you carpool with 4+ people, parking is always waived! Learn more.
