Traveling in Mexico? We Tried The Cross Border Xpress.
By now you’ve likely heard that the Cross Border Bridge, connecting San Diego with the Tijuana Airport, is open for business. On a recent trip to Tulum, Mexico my husband and I decided to try it out. Although we didn’t see cost savings on the flight (international vs domestic in Mexico) we did shave hours off of our travel time. The bridge terminal is pristine and very quiet, and going through Customs takes just a matter of minutes. Parking at the terminal is very easy, plus taxis and Ubers are available. The Tijuana Airport itself is bustling and more chaotic than Lindbergh but manageable. Most airline representatives speak English and will help you maneuver. We took Volaris Airlines and, again, a little less organized so stay present and watchful of gate changes. Overall this new international pedestrian
